Introduction

Thank you for choosing CAKE BY M.A.C.

Please review the following terms carefully, as they represent the agreement between CAKE BY M.A.C and the customer.

Please read these terms in full and carefully review your invoice, including the date, dessert flavours, fillings, size, design theme or style, and any attachments such as inspiration photos. These details reflect the final order agreement between CAKE BY M.A.C and the customer.

If, for any reason, you do not agree with any of the details noted on your invoice prior to payment, you may decline the order by emailing hello@cakebymac.com.

Orders cancelled after payment are subject to the cancellation terms outlined below. Photos of finished products may be provided upon collection or delivery and may also be posted on our social media platforms.

Your payment confirms your agreement to these terms and conditions.

Cancelled, Postponed, or Rescheduled Orders

If you need to cancel, postpone, or reschedule your order and you notify CAKE BY M.A.C less than two weeks before the agreed order date, your retainer or full payment will be honoured as dessert credit valid for up to one year.

Postpone means to delay an event when a new date has not yet been confirmed.

Reschedule means to schedule the order again for a new confirmed date and time.

Dessert credit may be used toward any order placed within one year from the date the invoice was sent. Rescheduled orders are subject to CAKE BY M.A.C’s calendar and availability.

Retainer

For single-tier cakes, full payment is required within 24 hours of the invoice being sent in order to confirm your order and secure your order date.

For double-tier cakes, multi-tier cakes, and larger orders, a 60% non-refundable retainer is required to confirm your order and secure your order date. The remaining 40% balance is due four weeks before the delivery or collection date. At this point, all changes must be confirmed. Any changes to the previously agreed design may incur additional fees.

Orders placed less than six weeks before the delivery or collection date must be paid in full.

Your 60% non-refundable retainer is due within 24 hours of the invoice being sent. Orders will not be confirmed or added to the CAKE BY M.A.C booking system until the retainer has been paid. This allows all interested customers a fair opportunity to book available dates.

Please note that if your retainer is not received within 24 hours, your order may be cancelled and your date released.

Final Payment

For wedding orders, final payment is due no later than two weeks before the wedding date.

No Refunds

CAKE BY M.A.C does not offer refunds for any payments made toward an order.

As noted above, if you cancel, postpone, or reschedule your order, a dessert credit may be added to your account and used toward a future invoice within one year.

Disclaimer

CAKE BY M.A.C products may contain, or come into contact with, milk, wheat, nuts, soy, eggs, and other allergens. If any of your guests have allergies, it is your responsibility to notify them of the risks and any possible allergens.

Depending on the design, your order may include non-toxic decorative items such as highlighter dust, which is typically used for drip or splatter effects. These products are used for decorative purposes only and are not edible.

Care

CAKE BY M.A.C will provide care instructions prior to, or at the time of, pickup or delivery.

You are responsible for providing a level surface and suitable environment for your desserts.

We strongly advise against placing desserts outdoors, in direct sunlight, or in warm environments. CAKE BY M.A.C is not responsible for any damage caused by outside elements, improper storage, or mishandling after pickup or delivery.

Packaging

Your cakes and desserts will be packaged appropriately and securely for travel.

For best results, desserts should be placed on a flat surface, such as the floor of the car or the boot/trunk. Desserts should never be placed on a car seat, as this may cause shifting or damage during transport.

Liability

CAKE BY M.A.C is not liable for any damage that may occur to your cakes or desserts once your order has been picked up or delivered.

Changes

It is your responsibility to thoroughly review all order details prior to payment.

If CAKE BY M.A.C is not notified of any requested changes before final payment is submitted, we will assume your agreement with the invoice details and proceed with fulfilling the order as agreed.

Please note that changes to the original design, size, flavour, delivery details, or order requirements may incur additional fees and are subject to availability.

Servings

The serving size noted on the order form or advised during consultation is based on general guidance and personal research.

CAKE BY M.A.C is not responsible for cake serving shortages if portions are cut larger than the recommended serving size.

Inedible Decor

Silk florals, support dowels, cake toppers, charms, acrylic pieces, and any other inedible decorative items must be removed from your cake or desserts before consumption.

You acknowledge that these items are not food products and may be harmful if consumed.
