Care Guide

Storage

  • Let them cool fully before storing.
  • Keep in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • Add a slice of bread to the container to help keep them soft.
  • Best within 3 to 5 days.

Fridge

  • Usually not needed.
  • Refrigeration can dry them out and make them firmer.

Freezing

  • Freeze baked cookies in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 2 months.
  • Separate layers with parchment paper.
  • You can also freeze the dough balls and bake from frozen; just add a few extra minutes.

Reheating

  • Microwave 10 to 15 seconds for a soft, gooey center.
  • For a slightly crisp outside, warm in the oven at about 160°C for 3 to 5 minutes.

Handling

  • Avoid stacking them while still warm or they may collapse and get soggy.
  • If they’re very thick, make sure the centers are fully baked before storing.

Best texture tips

  • Keep them sealed well so they do not dry out.
  • Warm before eating if you want that bakery-style texture again.
